Animoca Brands' Mocaverse launches custom NFT marketplace with Rarible to address community safety

Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd’s Mocaverse – a membership NFT collection – has partnered with with Rarible, a leading NFT platform for creators and brands, to launch Mocaverse Marketplace, a custom marketplace for the Mocaverse community.

The Mocaverse Marketplace provides its community with a secure dedicated place to trade Mocaverse NFTs with proven authenticity, addressing user safety concerns associated with trading on third-party platforms.

Circumventing risk

It is designed to circumvent the risk of purchasing a copycat or interacting with malicious software.

There will be no platform fees on native listings of the Mocaverse collection and the marketplace will also respect royalties on all sales conducted on its platform.

The Mocaverse Marketplace experience offers custom features unique to the Mocaverse collection, including filtering with Moca XP points and support for five other ERC-20 tokens, with more features scheduled to launch through the summer.

Moca XP is a points system that tracks how engaged Moca NFT holders are in the Mocaverse ecosystem. Moca XP is earned through staking, participation in activations, engagement in social channels and contribution to the Moca DAO. Having higher Moca XP increases the chance of receiving rewards and benefits at the season’s end.

“With the integration of our Moca XP rewards system, the value of a Mocaverse NFT cannot be defined by traits or rarity alone, nor could that value be accurately reflected in generic marketplace settings,” said Animoca chief business officer Alan Lau.

Seamless experience

“By offering Mocaverse holders various custom marketplace features developed in partnership with Rarible, we can effectively integrate trading activities into our broader ecosystem while facilitating a seamless Mocaverse experience.”

Rarible co-founder and chief strategy officer Alex Salnikov said: “The future of Web3 is with innovative brands that create the next level of community engagement.

“We believe that in order to grow and thrive in the long term, every community needs its own home that is unique, safe, and not dependent on third-party policies. And we’re excited to create one with and for Mocaverse.”
