Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd, has announced a partnership with TOKYO STUPID GAMES, a gaming platform focused on real-world assets (RWAs) for Japanese brands and intellectual property (IP). Through this collaboration, Animoca Brands Japan will leverage its network to support the global expansion of TOKYO STUPID GAMES, specifically in marketing, and token economy planning and design.

"Animoca Brands Japan is delighted to support the global expansion of TOKYO STUPID GAMES as a partner, with the goal to accelerate mass adoption of Web3 by acting as a gateway between Japan and overseas markets," Kensuke Amo, COO of Animoca Brands Japan, said.

"TOKYO STUPID GAMES is working to promote Japanese brands and IPs both domestically and internationally through real-world assets in Web3 games, an approach that is highly compatible with Animoca Brands Japan's mission. Through the activities of both companies, we will continue to promote Japanese culture to the wider world."

TOKYO STUPID GAMES is developing a platform that allows users to obtain non-fungible tokens (NFTs) linked to RWAs, including physical assets such as trading cards, original merchandise, and fashion items that can be tokenized on blockchain. The platform aims to promote the adoption of Web3 for Japanese brands and IPs, enhancing brand awareness, fan acquisition, and delivering new user experiences.

Previously, the TOKYO STUPID GAMES team has organised art exhibitions showcasing international collaborations between Japan and global Web3 projects. They have also established partnerships with key figures in Japanese pop culture and contemporary art, including PARCO and Warehouse TERRADA, and collaborated with Shibuya-ku.

"We believe that the new economic infrastructure of Web3 and a culture that fosters empathy beyond national borders are ideal for creating new connections. We are excited to be working with Animoca Brands, a leading global player, to take on the challenges of the future with the vision of building a new economic sphere by bridging Web3 and Japanese culture," Rock No.6, founder and CEO of TOKYO STUPID GAMES said.

Animoca Brands Japan acts as a bridge between Japan and the global market, facilitating the international growth of Japanese IPs in the Web3 space and supporting overseas projects in Japan. With over 540 companies and projects in its parent company's investment portfolio, Animoca Brands Japan will utilise its expertise and network to help accelerate the global expansion of TOKYO STUPID GAMES.
