Andromeda Metals Ltd (ASX:ADN) has appointed Sarah Clarke as general counsel and company secretary, further strengthening its executive management team as it progresses the flagship Great White Kaolin Project in South Australia.

Clarke brings more than 17 years of legal experience across ASX-listed energy and resources stocks to the board, complemented by extensive knowledge of the industry and regulatory environment.

She was previously named a leading South Australian energy and resources lawyer in Doyle’s guide and was recommended for natural resources (transactions & regulatory) in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific: Australia.

The new GC and company secretary has also been recognised for her work in corporate law by Best Lawyers Australia. She was most recently a partner at Piper Alderman.

Clarke was an elected councillor of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) from 2018 to 2022, meaning she brings a wealth of industry connections and understands the issues facing South Australian mining companies.

She starts in the role today and takes over from outgoing company secretary Andrea Betti, who will remain in the role until the end of January to support the executive transition.

Andromeda managing director James Marsh said he was pleased that someone of such a high calibre would expand the team’s leadership capabilities.

“With Andromeda expanding our marketing efforts and moving rapidly towards a final investment decision, Sarah’s professional knowledge and experience in transactional, commercial contracts, advisory & compliance strongly positions us for success,” he explained.

“We also thank Andrea for her tireless work, support and guidance provided to Andromeda over the last 18 months and wish her well in her future endeavours.”
