Demonstrating the vast potential scale of the project, American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF) has delivered consistent new rare earth mineralisation in contiguous unexplored claims across its Halleck Creek Project in Wyoming.
The results indicate new rare earth mineralisation in the ‘County Line’ and ‘Trail Creek’ areas, with total rare earth oxide (TREO) levels recorded up to 4,691 parts per million (ppm) from surface samples.
Of particular note, high-value magnetic rare earths, specifically neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr), comprise an average of 23% of the TREO, consistent with previous findings.
The results highlight the significant upside potential well beyond the current 1.43 billion tonnes JORC resource at the project.
Expand mineralised footprint
ARR CEO Donald Swartz said: “We are encouraged with these results that significantly expand the mineralised footprint of the project.
“The deposit remains open at depth and we continue to be impressed with the upside potential; which offers optionality and scalability; as a strategic resource in the United States.
“We have shown in our work that the mineralisation continues to be homogenous and is suitable for low-cost, high-volume extraction.
“These field assays come on the back of outstanding metallurgical results where recent test work demonstrated the Halleck Creek ore can easily be upgraded to 1-2% TREO and is readily leachable using conventional technology – without the complex cracking process necessary in hard rock deposits.”
Forward plan
In anticipation of further exploration, ARR is set to release drill assay results from a recent development drilling campaign.
Plans are also in place to update the previously announced JORC resource in the coming months.
Supplemental sampling, covering approximately 1,827 acres, about 20% of the total claims, was conducted as part of the recent fieldwork.
This initiative aims to support test-mine planning and provide a deeper understanding of the project's extent.
