Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME) is set to restart a reverse circulation drill program to test interpreted high-grade mineralised structures and further step-out extensional drilling at the Indomitable Camp within the Sandstone Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company has identified near-surface priority gold targets between Vanguard and Indomitable Camps with historical results including 12 metres at 3 g/t gold from 60 metres and 19 metres at 1.5 g/t from 40 metres.
In addition, Alto has confirmed visible gold in surface rock chips taken from a new prospect area, within the Indomitable Camp, which was not adequately tested by previous drilling.
Looking ahead, the company is on track to deliver an update to the current open-pittable 635,000 ounces at 1.6 g/t gold resource for the Sandtone this quarter.
Visible gold chips
Also has identified visible gold in surface rock chips from a new prospect area within the Indomitable Camp located midway between Tiger Moth and Cessna prospects.
These samples were collected as part of the exploration activities the company has in place with local prospectors and represents the first identification of visible gold mineralisation in rock chips at this location.
The rock chips comprise regolith material likely to be associated with banded iron formation.

Forward plan
Alto is set to kick off RC drilling at Indomitable in the coming days.
The drill program is planned to include testing potential interpreted high-grade mineralised structures highlighted at the end of last year, including 25 metres at 7.5 g/t gold from 41 metres.
Drilling is also planned to test strike extensions at Indomitable East and Musketeer, and first pass drilling at the Cessna and Duke of Windsor prospects.
