EV fast-charging network, Allego N.V. (ALLG) announced Thursday the results from its high-power commercial charging station pilot program for electric trucks and light duty vehicles.
Fitted with dual 300 kW ultra-fast charging stations, the location quickly reached an outstanding utilization rate of 22% within just five weeks.
This joint effort with Sogaris, a prominent figure in urban logistics property management in France, confirms the sector's demand for reliable truck charging infrastructure. It also underscores Allego's proficiency in providing successful ultra-fast solutions tailored for the expanding electric truck industry.
“Commercial truck charging infrastructure is the keystone to fully enable a transition to electric vehicles.” Said Allego CEO, Mathieu Bonnet.
“We have been working to integrate truck charging into our portfolio and, while these numbers are in the early stages, these initial results indicate that the industry is ready and so are we.”
By 2024, the Company anticipates launching its first set of extra high-powered truck chargers strategically placed in high-density areas to optimize utilization rates.
Allego's exclusive Alamo tool was instrumental in the preliminary site selection process and remains a critical component in the Company's assessment and implementation of its charging network, ensuring the maximization of return on investment.
Shares of ALLG are down 7.34% in afternoon trading on Thursday.
