Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK) has released updated mineral resource and ore reserve estimates for the Tomingley Gold Project as at June 30, 2022.
The project takes in the current production facility at the Tomingley Gold Operations (TGO), the Roswell and San Antonio deposits and the Peak Hill Gold Project in the Central West region of New South Wales.
All the projects can be found within the Central West region of New South Wales.
Tommingley mine
At TGO, open-pit mining continued through to early 2019 before the operation transitioned to underground mining.
The mineral resources and ore reserves for Tomingley have been re-estimated to account for operating costs:
- total mineral resources 25.91 million tonnes grading 2.10g/t gold (1,748,000 ounces);
- total ore reserves 11.78 million tonnes grading 1.77g/t gold (671,000 ounces).
Project approval is anticipated before the end of the calendar year.
Boda campaign wraps
The company has wrapped up an extensive drilling program on the gold-copper porphyry Boda Prospect within the larger North Molong Porphyry Project (NMPP) 90 kilometres east of Tomingley.
The drilling has enabled an initial inferred resource to be estimated for the Boda deposit in May 2022:
- Mineral resources (0.3g/t gold equivalent) 624 million tonnes grading 0.51g/t gold equivalent (10.1 million equivalent ounces) 624 million tonnes grading 0.26g/t gold and 0.14% copper (5.21 million ounces gold; 0.9 million tonnes copper).
