Aldoro Resources fields Kameelburg rock chip sample of 10.38% niobium and 9.89% TREO

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has fielded results from 74 rock chip samples collected from various carbonatite (beforsite) and mafic dykes at the Kameelburg Carbonatite Project in Namibia with a best result of 10.38% niobium pentoxide and 9.89% total rare earth oxides (TREO).

The assays highlighted the rare earth element (REE) rich nature of the carbonatite, with TREO levels ranging from 1.16% to 9.89%, including yttrium.

In addition to sampling the carbonatite plug, a further four samples were collected across the niobium dyke zone on the southwest flank of the carbonatite.

Results for these samples ranged from 5.44% to 10.38% Nb2O5 and these provide additional confidence to previous niobium findings.

Preparing for maiden niobium drilling

Aldoro is undertaking a large-scale geological mapping and rock chip sampling exploration campaign at Kameelburg, gathering data to determine the best places to drill.

The large-scale geological mapping of Kameelberg carbonatite is nearing completion and the company intends to complete 2,000 metres of diamond drilling, testing for niobium and REE mineralisation.

ARN has begun pre-drilling preparations, including track access clearance and locating underground water supplies for the diamond drill rigs, supported by ground electromagnetic (EM) and self-potential (SP) geophysical surveys.

Drill planning, access tracks and water bores.
