Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has welcomed the first lot of assays from a pivotal drill hole at the Narndee nickel-copper-platinum group element (PGE) camp in WA.
Initial results from hole ND0028 have confirmed a 10-metre nickel-copper-PGE hit at Narndee’s Eastern anomaly, extending mineralisation in this key zone to 900 metres.
Specifically, preliminary findings returned 10 metres at 0.59% nickel, 0.17% copper and 0.67 g/t 3E (palladium, platinum and gold) from 219 metres.
The news comes just days after Aldoro reported on the best holes drilled to date at Narndee, where 264 metres of visually prospective core was fast-tracked to the lab for further scrutiny.
Consistent findings
Interestingly, the Eastern anomaly results are consistent with earlier findings 600 metres to the south, which suggest the mineralisation at Narndee thickens to the north along the chargeability anomaly.
With the initial findings at hand, the Aldoro team is also anticipating hits from a lower hole interval, which targeted a deeper disseminated sulphide zone, as well as results from hole ND0029.
While the waiting game is on, Aldoro has been keeping busy with an induced polarisation (IP) gradient array at its Wyemandoo property, where several anomalies have been flagged for surface sampling.
Aldoro has also noted its forward program at Narndee will be shaped by the pending assay results, with a formal review to collate the drilling results, IP images, geology and structural information on the cards.
