Chuy's Holdings (NASDAQ:CHUY) surged 47% after Darden Restaurants (NYSE:DRI) announced a definitive agreement pursuant to which Darden will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Chuy's for $37.50 per share, in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $605 million.
Equifax (NYSE:EFX) fell 1% despite beating consensus estimates for EPS and revenue in the second quarter, as third quarter projections trailed estimates. The company maintained full-year 2024 guidance with a midpoint expectation for revenue of $5.72 billion and Adjusted EPS of $7.35.
Alcoa (NYSE:AA) edged higher by 1.5% after reporting EPS that was slightly better than expected, a week after issuing a profit warning.
Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI) fell 2.6% after publishing disappointing second quarter results. Management noted the low-price environment for natural gas.
Beyond Meat (NASDAQ:BYND) plunged 14% after people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the company has engaged with bondholders regarding a potential balance sheet restructuring.
