Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS, OTC:ARSRF), an established copper and gold producer and explorer, has made two senior management changes as it looks to firm up and grow a pipeline of copper and gold projects in prolific Australian resource areas.
The first change has seen the company’s chief operating officer Ian Sheppard appointed to the newly created role of chief technical officer (CTO).
Secondly, Paul Harris, the current general manager – Queensland Operations, will become the company’s chief operating officer (COO).
These management changes will have immediate effect.
New senior management role
“With Constellation, Stockman, Barbara and the re-start of Jaguar, Aeris has an enviable pipeline of growth projects," Aeris’ executive chairman Andre Labuschagne said.
"The studies for these projects are all progressing well and to reflect their growing importance in the future of the company, we have created a new senior management role, chief technology officer.
“The CTO will be responsible for major project development, technical services, innovation and sustainability and Ian Sheppard, who has been chief operating officer since joining the company in 2013, will move to the CTO role.
"Ian’s strong technical skills, openness to innovation and lateral thinking are ideal attributes for this newly created role.
“Paul Harris, who joined the company in January as general manager – Queensland Operations, will move to chief operating officer.
"Paul is a mining engineer with more than 27 years of Australian and international experience across base metals, gold and coal and as COO will be responsible for operational delivery (Tritton, Cracow and Mt Colin), exploration and health & safety.”
