Accelerate Resources Ltd (ASX:AX8) is rapidly advancing toward a maiden drilling program at the Prinsep Lithium Project in Western Australia, having locked-in Aboriginal Heritage and Ethnographic surveys for mid-April on the tenure.
The survey will cover the full 1.8-kilometre strike extent of both the northern and southern mineralised lithium pegmatite trends at Prinsep, where rock chip assay results of up to 2.06% lithium have previously been reported.
Expediated heritage survey schedule
“We thank the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation for their support and assistance in expediating a date for the Heritage survey less than a month after signing the Native Title and Heritage Exploration Agreement,” Accelerate Resources CEO Luke Meter said.
“Their assistance is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to working closely with NAC as our Karratha Projects advance.”
The company’s Program of Works to conduct exploration and drilling over the surveyed areas is under assessment by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, with drilling to begin as soon as approvals are received.
Prinsep is part of AX8’s larger portfolio of Karratha lithium projects, covering about 90 square kilometres in the emerging Karratha–Roebourne hard-rock lithium belt.
The final preparations for the drilling program are already underway, with a base of operations established in Karratha and services contracts being finalised by the company.
