Accelerate Resources Ltd (ASX:AX8) has tapped Dr Steve Bodon to be its executive director – technical, a move that strengthens the company's capabilities on this front.
The company is making strides with its projects in the Pilbara region and looks forward to leveraging Dr Bodon's expertise and experience as it progresses its strategic technical objectives.
Asset lifecycle management
Dr Bodon, who previously served as a non-executive director at Accelerate, brings a wealth of experience to the role, particularly in asset lifecycle management across exploration, project development and production.
Prior to joining Accelerate, Dr Bodon held leadership positions at prominent organisations such as Karora Resources, where he served as general manager of the Higginsville gold operations and the Lakewood gold processing operation in Kalgoorlie.
He also worked for Sasol as assets manager West Africa and Anglo American (LON:AAL), leading development and production projects in southern Africa.
With a PhD in Economic Geology from the University of Tasmania's Centre for Ore Deposit Research (CODES), Dr Bodon possesses a strong technical background and has built upon this expertise with additional training in engineering, business administration and sustainability leadership, enhancing his business acumen.

Dr Bodon will assume his new position as executive director – Technical on August 1.
