Accelerate Resources Ltd (ASX:AX8) is optimistic about the latest results from ongoing phase four drilling at the Woodie Woodie North Manganese Project in Western Australia's Pilbara Region.
Extensions of mineralisation
New data reveals substantial extensions of mineralisation in multiple areas, most notably in the Barra South Corridor.
A total of 2,105 metres of extensional reverse circulation (RC) drilling was conducted at the project, consisting of 45 holes, 23 of which confirm the presence of significant mineral extensions.
At Area 42 – Chris's Ridge – one hole uncovered 12 metres at 25.7% manganese and 12.6% iron from the surface, including 4 metres @ 33.7% manganese from 5 metres.
Results from Area 3 – Barra South include:
- 6 metres @ 22.8% manganese (32.7% iron) from 16 metres;
- 16 metres @ 22% manganese (11.5% iron) from 25 metres, including 6 metres @ 32.8% manganese from 27 metres; and
- 11 metres @ 18.6 manganese (17.4% iron) from 24 metres; and 18 metres @ 14.6% manganese (24.9% iron) from 32 metres.
More drilling later this year
Phase five drilling is slated for the last quarter of this year, in the newly identified Parson’s Creek Corridor, where extensive manganese outcrops span a 5-kilometre trend.
Further drilling in the Barra North Area revealed that manganese mineralisation extends an additional 100 metres to the south along a major fault, while drilling at Barra South confirmed the northern extension of Area 3 mineralisation, averaging a grade of about 15% manganese.
Area 5 and Area 42 also saw significant results, with Area 5's drilling targeting previously explored zones by Shaw River Manganese Ltd. Area 42 targeted two zones within the greater Area 42 prospect, recording promising manganese intercepts in multiple holes.
The positive outcomes fortify the Woodie Woodie high-grade primary mineralisation model and set the stage for the next phase of drilling, focusing on the Parson’s Creek Corridor.
All up, the corridor shows promising manganese outcrops across an area measuring 5 kilometres by 2.5 kilometres.
The results demonstrate Accelerate Resources' commitment to verifying and extending existing mineral envelopes, crucial for the company's long-term strategy in manganese exploration.
