88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTC:EEENF) has announced the start of flow test operations at the Hickory-1 well, part of Project Phoenix in Alaska.
The programme is evaluating the USFS zones, starting with the Upper SFS followed by the SMD-B reservoir.
Each of the zones will undergo a detailed ten-day testing process, including fracturing and flowback operations, the company noted.
It told investors that it will undertake an extensive data collection, capturing a range of information including downhole and surface fluid samples, as well as pressure and temperature readings across both zones. The objective is to analyse the reservoirs' potential.
At the same time, the company noted it has bolstered its technical team, adding additional engineering expertise and it is able to call on expertise and experience of the Pantheon Resources team – which has tested similar wells nearby recently.
The company, meanwhile, said it expects that the entire testing programme will be completed in March.
