Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 1.67% or 55 points to trade at 3340 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) added 1.23% or 8.8 points to end at 723.8 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.15% or 440 points to 38700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.50% or 166 points to trade at 3523 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.91% or 1990 points to end at 66400 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 1.68% or 22 points to 1288.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 131 and 113 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.35% or 0.66 to $48.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.57% or 0.79 to hit $49.56 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1288.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.42% to 3.8758, while EUR/ILS fell 0.33% to 4.3446.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 94.99.
