Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.67% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 5.08% or 940 points to trade at 19440 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) added 1.40% or 27 points to end at 1962 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 1.26% or 9.8 points to 789.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TA:MLSR), which lost 0.92% or 150 points to trade at 16100 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 0.80% or 200 points to end at 24860 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) shed 0.72% or 120 points to 16500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 124 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.37% or 1.06 to $45.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.64% or 1.22 to hit $47.47 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.86% or 11.65 to trade at $1344.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.15% to 3.8786, while EUR/ILS fell 0.03% to 4.2938.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.50.
