Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Basic Resources and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 10.00% or 0.065 points to trade at 0.715 at the close. Meanwhile, Reds (AT:CAMr) added 8.61% or 0.026 points to end at 0.328 and Euroconsultants SA (AT:ERCr) was up 5.81% or 0.0900 points to 1.6400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr), which fell 5.37% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.41 at the close. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) declined 4.93% or 0.07 points to end at 1.35 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 4.40% or 0.004 points to 0.087.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Centric Hold (AT:DESr) fell to all time lows; falling 4.40% or 0.004 to 0.087.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.46% or 5.10 to $1102.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.38% or 0.46 to hit $32.81 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.03% or 0.69 to trade at $33.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.0888, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.7488.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 98.67.
