Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Software & Computer Services and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.07% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 3.97% or 0.5 points to trade at 12.6 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.10% or 1.60 points to end at 53.20 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 0.94% or 1.8 points to 192.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.47% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.11 in late trade. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 2.41% or 7.50 points to end at 303.30 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.73% or 5.7 points to 324.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 85 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $48.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $51.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1228.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.82% to 9.0846, while USD/NOK fell 0.60% to 8.4571.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.13.
