Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Diversified Financials and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.69% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 5.10% or 0.9 points to trade at 19.6 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 3.84% or 0.99 points to end at 26.79 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.72% or 3.50 points to 132.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.28% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.15 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.94% or 5.7 points to end at 288.0 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 1.42% or 0.11 points to 7.26.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 79 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.13% or 0.57 to $49.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.22% or 0.63 to hit $50.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.80% or 10.15 to trade at $1273.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 8.9945, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.2614.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 98.73.
