Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Media and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 9.70% or 1.1 points to trade at 13.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) added 5.60% or 0.09 points to end at 1.72 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 5.57% or 2.3 points to 44.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which fell 5.45% or 2.90 points to trade at 50.30 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.48% or 8.1 points to end at 318.5 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was down 1.86% or 16.0 points to 842.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 116 to 71.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.90% or 0.40 to $43.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.46% or 0.22 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1088.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.3194, while USD/NOK fell 0.02% to 8.6586.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 99.03.
