SYDNEY, Oct 16 (Reuters) - New Zealand dollar NZD=D4 jumped a quarter of a U.S. cent on Friday after higher-than-expected inflation data added to speculation the Reserve Bank of New Zealand may hold rates at its Oct. 29 policy review.
The kiwi rose to $0.6866, not far from a 3-1/2-month peak of $0.6897 touched on Thursday. It has gained 2.5 percent so far this week.
