Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 1.98% or 107 points to trade at 5517 at the close. Meanwhile, Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 1.34% or 3.0 points to end at 226.3 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.00% or 140 points to 14100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which fell 2.84% or 60 points to trade at 2050 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 1.39% or 210 points to end at 14850 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 1.05% or 150 points to 14150.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 164 to 158 and 123 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.83% or 0.91 to $48.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.13% or 0.60 to hit $52.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 4.90 to trade at $1160.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.8336, while EUR/ILS rose 0.28% to 4.3606.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.79.
