Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 2.37% or 10.6 points to trade at 457.0 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 1.85% or 21.0 points to end at 1158.0 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 1.37% or 2.5 points to 185.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which lost 1.99% or 2.6 points to trade at 128.0 in late trade. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) declined 1.11% or 10.5 points to end at 939.0 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 0.63% or 1.7 points to 268.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 50 and 14 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.26% or 0.63 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.30% or 0.66 to hit $49.96 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1270.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.61% to 6.5753, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4405.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 93.68.
