Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 60.33% or 17.6 points to trade at 46.8 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 12.70% or 0.70 points to end at 6.21 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 4.62% or 1.5 points to 34.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 2.79% or 0.2 points to trade at 8.0 in late trade. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) declined 2.50% or 16.0 points to end at 623.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 2.35% or 0.70 points to 29.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 69 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.70% or 1.69 to $37.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.98% or 1.93 to hit $40.65 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.00 to trade at $1267.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.34% to 9.3613, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 8.5000.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.15.
