Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR), which rose 9.47% or 4.50 points to trade at 52.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) added 7.19% or 3.2 points to end at 47.5 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 5.50% or 0.08 points to 1.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which fell 2.18% or 1.00 points to trade at 44.90 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) declined 1.85% or 2.00 points to end at 106.40 and Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL) was down 1.20% or 1.9 points to 157.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 81 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.24% or 0.11 to $45.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1115.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.70% to 9.4502, while USD/NOK fell 0.93% to 8.4360.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 96.15.
