Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.09% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Jumbo (AT:BABr), which rose 4.69% or 0.450 points to trade at 10.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Korres (AT:KRRr) added 3.88% or 0.14 points to end at 3.77 and Elval (AT:VAL) was up 3.34% or 0.03 points to 0.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frigoglass (AT:FRIr), which fell 10.20% or 0.15 points to trade at 1.32 at the close. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) declined 6.67% or 0.09 points to end at 1.26 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 6.21% or 0.009 points to 0.136.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 42 to 34 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frigoglass (AT:FRIr) fell to all time lows; falling 10.20% or 0.15 to 1.32. Shares in Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; down 6.21% or 0.009 to 0.136.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.22% or 2.60 to $1154.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.14% or 0.04 to hit $31.77 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.15 to trade at $34.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.1140, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.7689.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 97.10.
