Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 2.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem (MILAN:SPMI), which rose 10.48% or 0.7900 points to trade at 8.3300 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MILAN:TENR) added 5.72% or 0.6400 points to end at 11.8200 and CNH Industrial NV (MILAN:CNHI) was up 5.04% or 0.300 points to 6.255 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Terna (MILAN:TRN), which fell 0.28% or 0.012 points to trade at 4.330 at the close. World Duty Free SpA (MILAN:WDF) declined 0.10% or 0.010 points to end at 10.220 and Pirelli & C (MILAN:PECI) was down 0.07% or 0.0100 points to 14.9700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 379 to 56 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.48% or 1.13 to $46.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.88% or 1.39 to hit $49.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.30 to trade at $1133.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1180, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.7384.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.27.
