Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.81%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 7.98% or 0.1660 points to trade at 2.2460 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 4.95% or 0.158 points to end at 3.350 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 4.58% or 0.83 points to 18.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 0.04% or 0.01 points to trade at 24.04 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) added 0.53% or 0.23 points to end at 43.23 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.65% or 0.15 points to 23.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 127 to 51 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 5.25% or 1.47 to $29.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 4.78% or 1.35 to hit $29.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.98% or 10.80 to trade at $1095.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.0832, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.7620.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 99.42.
