Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 3.03% or 25.0 points to trade at 849.5 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) added 2.34% or 14.0 points to end at 612.0 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.73% or 4.6 points to 270.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 1.94% or 175 points to trade at 8825 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 1.42% or 125 points to end at 8650 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) shed 0.93% or 0.60 points to 64.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.23% or 1.34 to $40.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.51% or 1.05 to hit $40.74 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.95% or 24.30 to trade at $1224.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.34% to 6.6669, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4546.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 96.09.
