Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 3.73% or 57 points to trade at 1587 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.49% or 1580 points to end at 65000 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 2.17% or 400 points to 18820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 1.97% or 4.0 points to trade at 199.0 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) declined 1.86% or 1.2 points to end at 63.2 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was down 1.35% or 780 points to 57820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 249 to 81 and 123 ended unchanged.
Shares in Avner L (TA:AVNRp) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.97% or 4.0 to 199.0.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.86% or 0.26 to $30.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.50% or 0.71 to hit $29.27 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.60 to trade at $1086.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.45% to 3.9728, while EUR/ILS rose 0.49% to 4.3293.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 99.24.
