Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Electricity and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekstilbank (IS:TEKST), which rose 3.08% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Otokar (IS:OTKAR) added 2.21% or 1.70 points to end at 78.55 and Good-Year (IS:GOODY) was up 1.72% or 1.15 points to 68.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which fell 10.37% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.470 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 10.31% or 0.200 points to end at 1.740 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was down 9.20% or 1.60 points to 15.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) fell to 5-year lows; losing 10.37% or 0.170 to 1.470.
Gold for December delivery was down 2.32% or 27.30 to $1148.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.26% or 0.12 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.06 to trade at $48.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.44% to 2.9373, while EUR/TRY rose 0.81% to 3.2237.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.43.
