Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.10% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.31% or 1.20 points to trade at 37.50 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 2.52% or 3.6 points to end at 146.2 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.36% or 4.3 points to 186.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.93% or 4.6 points to trade at 233.6 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.55% or 0.02 points to end at 1.08 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 1.39% or 0.66 points to 46.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 76 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.82% or 0.38 to $46.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.77% or 0.38 to hit $48.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.06 to trade at $1218.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.4429, while USD/NOK rose 0.39% to 8.6809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.45.
