Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Auto & components and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.22% or 1.07 points to trade at 34.32 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.68% or 2.3 points to end at 139.5 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 1.60% or 3.60 points to 228.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 7.39% or 1.45 points to trade at 18.14 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 5.67% or 7.3 points to end at 125.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 4.61% or 8.5 points to 176.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 70 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.74% or 1.36 to $48.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.76% or 1.44 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.18 to trade at $1267.28 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.52% to 9.4830, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.4399.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.91.
