Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.44% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which rose 1.40% or 0.41 points to trade at 29.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 0.69% or 0.20 points to end at 29.00 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was up 0.55% or 0.30 points to 54.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which fell 5.73% or 2.2 points to trade at 36.2 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) declined 3.88% or 6.5 points to end at 161.1 and Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) was down 3.75% or 2.6 points to 67.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 42 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.73% or 2.2 to 36.2.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.64% or 0.27 to $42.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.72% or 0.35 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1113.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.1440, while USD/NOK rose 0.15% to 8.2301.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 96.61.
