Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.05% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 8.44% or 2.58 points to trade at 33.15 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.77% or 0.24 points to end at 13.77 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.92% or 0.36 points to 39.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which lost 3.24% or 0.81 points to trade at 24.18 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.75% or 1.01 points to end at 35.77 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.48% or 0.130 points to 5.105.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 136 to 49 and 7 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.68% or 0.33 to $48.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.49% or 0.23 to hit $46.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.17% or 14.85 to trade at $1287.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.1054, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.9034.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.55% at 97.78.
