Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 6.16% or 0.450 points to trade at 7.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 5.88% or 0.010 points to end at 0.180 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 3.31% or 0.480 points to 15.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 2.86% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.680 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 2.44% or 0.100 points to end at 4.000 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 2.00% or 0.050 points to 2.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.44% or 0.100 to 4.000.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.07% or 0.04 to $50.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $56.92 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1099.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.15% to 3.1810, while EUR/PEN rose 0.07% to 3.4523.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.78% at 97.41.
