Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 2.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 11.56% or 0.043 points to trade at 0.415 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 11.11% or 0.130 points to end at 1.300 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was up 10.56% or 0.190 points to 1.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which fell 17.11% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) unchanged 0% or 0 points to end at 0.080 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 0.83% or 0.100 points to 12.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 28 to 5 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 6.31% or 2.69 to $45.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 5.09% or 2.42 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.00% or 11.20 to trade at $1133.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.76% to 3.2809, while EUR/PEN fell 0.81% to 3.7009.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 96.11.
