Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AMS:WLSNc), which rose 0.89% or 0.26 points to trade at 29.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail Rodamco SE (AMS:UNBP) added 0.84% or 2.05 points to end at 246.05 and OCI (AMS:OCI) was up 0.56% or 0.160 points to 28.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which fell 3.84% or 0.46 points to trade at 11.38 at the close. ASML Holding (AMS:ASML) declined 3.42% or 2.93 points to end at 82.62 and Aegon (AMS:AEGN) was down 2.90% or 0.178 points to 5.966.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 140 to 77 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.84% or 0.46 to 11.38.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.63% to 21.49.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.83% or 0.35 to $42.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.76% or 0.38 to hit $49.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.30 to trade at $1113.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1125, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7111.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 96.52.
