Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Property, Holding Firms and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 4.67% or 1.400 points to trade at 31.400 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) added 3.28% or 0.160 points to end at 5.040 and Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) was up 1.55% or 0.100 points to 6.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which lost 0.79% or 0.100 points to trade at 12.600 in late trade. Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) declined 0.67% or 0.040 points to end at 5.960 and Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) shed 0.54% or 0.25 points to 46.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 83 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.68% or 9.20 to $1337.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.81% or 0.89 to hit $48.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.04% or 1.04 to trade at $49.84 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.24% to 7.0015, while USD/PHP rose 0.33% to 46.593.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 94.78.
