Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.78%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 11.15% or 0.348 points to trade at 3.470 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 6.19% or 0.28 points to end at 4.74 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 4.25% or 1.01 points to 24.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which fell 1.93% or 0.38 points to trade at 19.30 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 0.54% or 0.0120 points to end at 2.2140 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 0.23% or 0.02 points to 8.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 154 to 34 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.93% or 0.38 to 19.30.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 2.61% or 0.74 to $29.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.89% or 0.27 to hit $30.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.35% or 3.80 to trade at $1086.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.0915, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.7697.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 99.09.
