Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.68% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.85% or 0.63 points to trade at 34.67 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.81% or 0.68 points to end at 38.29 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 1.42% or 0.090 points to 6.415 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 9.9500 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 0.73% or 0.11 points to end at 14.99 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 0.45% or 0.03 points to 6.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 43 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.39% or 0.20 to $51.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.43% or 0.21 to hit $48.65 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.20% or 26.40 to trade at $1227.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.0732, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 100.24.
