Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which rose 7.03% or 0.90 points to trade at 13.70 at the close. Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210) added 5.06% or 0.20 points to end at 4.15 and Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) was up 3.69% or 1.40 points to 39.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270), which lost 9.96% or 2.60 points to trade at 23.50 in late trade. Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:2140) declined 9.89% or 1.40 points to end at 12.75 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) shed 8.30% or 4.10 points to 45.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 133 to 34 and 4 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 2.07% or 1.12 to $52.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.08% or 1.19 to hit $55.91 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.54% or 6.35 to trade at $1179.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.12% to 3.9455, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7517.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 102.41.
