Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Auto & components and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 6.27% or 2.24 points to trade at 37.97 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 6.12% or 1.05 points to end at 18.21 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.52% or 0.27 points to 6.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DnB ASA (OL:DNB), which lost 1.12% or 1.1 points to trade at 93.0 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 0.74% or 0.01 points to end at 1.61 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 0.42% or 0.6 points to 141.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 114 to 50 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.87% or 1.81 to $44.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.09% or 1.98 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.60% or 8.05 to trade at $1343.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.25% to 9.3473, while USD/NOK fell 0.22% to 8.4112.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 96.15.
