Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Information Technology and Trading sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO), which rose 24.79% or 11.90 points to trade at 59.90 at the close. Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) added 21.84% or 294.80 points to end at 1644.60 and PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) was up 20.00% or 0.20 points to 1.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which lost 24.81% or 645.00 points to trade at 1955.10 in late trade. Ramboda Falls PLC (CM:RFLL) declined 13.75% or 3.30 points to end at 20.70 and Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC (CM:MAL) shed 12.50% or 0.30 points to 2.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 70 and 45 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.64% or 0.98 to $36.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.63% or 1.04 to hit $38.49 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.87% or 10.80 to trade at $1234.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.45% to 207.050, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 144.980.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.83.
