Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 2.20% or 0.145 points to trade at 6.745 at the close. Meanwhile, Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) added 2.12% or 0.32 points to end at 15.40 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was up 1.76% or 0.33 points to 19.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 5.27% or 0.7500 points to trade at 13.4700 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 3.26% or 0.3800 points to end at 11.2900 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 2.31% or 0.53 points to 22.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 237 to 183 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.16% or 1.00 to $45.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.45% or 0.70 to hit $48.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.00% or 11.80 to trade at $1165.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1342, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.7342.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.02.
