Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 2.07% or 2.70 points to trade at 133.10 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 1.82% or 2.0 points to end at 111.9 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.72% or 3.0 points to 177.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 1.19% or 0.60 points to trade at 50.00 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 0.93% or 1.5 points to end at 160.4 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) shed 0.90% or 1.4 points to 153.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 254 and 45 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.05% or 1.48 to $37.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.10% or 1.23 to hit $40.88 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.62% or 7.80 to trade at $1255.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.57% to 9.2889, while USD/SEK fell 0.67% to 8.4280.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 97.01.
