Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Property, Industrials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Minin (PS:SCC), which rose 2.75% or 3.5000 points to trade at 130.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) added 2.40% or 0.300 points to end at 12.780 and Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) was up 0.52% or 1.000 points to 192.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petron (PS:PCOR), which fell 4.45% or 0.400 points to trade at 8.510 at the close. Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) declined 3.56% or 0.330 points to end at 8.950 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was down 3.42% or 0.160 points to 4.520.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 125 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.79% or 8.70 to $1116.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.43% or 0.18 to hit $43.27 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.11 to trade at $49.82 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.29% to 7.2392, while USD/PHP rose 0.70% to 46.239.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.69% at 96.57.
