Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 6.92% or 0.36 points to trade at 5.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 4.79% or 1.5 points to end at 32.8 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 3.95% or 1.09 points to 28.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo), which fell 1.03% or 6.0 points to trade at 579.0 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 0.70% or 0.8 points to end at 114.3 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 0.38% or 0.5 points to 132.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 128 to 49 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 10.21% or 2.67 to $28.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 8.68% or 2.61 to hit $32.67 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.88% or 11.00 to trade at $1236.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.34% to 9.6589, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 8.6008.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.12.
