Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.91% or 0.114 points to trade at 4.036 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.19% or 0.110 points to end at 5.140 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.11% or 0.83 points to 40.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 0.31% or 0.11 points to trade at 35.20 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 0.22% or 0.03 points to end at 13.63 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 0.12% or 0.03 points to 24.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 74 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.15 to trade at $1183.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0556, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8474.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 101.75.
